Kamet is an Indian single malt whisky, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is distilled from six-row barley grown in the foothills of the Himalayas.
The whisky is aged in a combination of ex-bourbon American oak, ex-wine French oak and ex-sherry casks, both Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is vinous and fruity, with oak spice, vanilla, caramel, subtle raisins and sweet dark chocolate. The palate opens lively, with spice and fresh and dried fruit. The finish is long, warm and nutty, with dry and sherried sweetness and oak spice.
