Kanosuke – Double Distillery 2025 Limited Edition (70cl, 59%)

Double Distillery is a limited Japanese whisky from Kanosuke in Kagoshima, bottled at 59% in a 70cl bottle. It brings together Hioki pot still whisky and Kanosuke single malt, both matured in re-charred ex-shochu casks, with a small amount of whisky from rum casks added at the end. Ex-sherry casks are also part of the make-up. The release celebrates 140 years of family tradition and the story of two brothers and their two distilleries. It is bright amber in colour. The nose offers dried apricot, plum jam, canelé, custard cream and Japanese cinnamon. The palate has ripe pear, grated apple, white peach, raisin, ginger and crème brûlée, and the finish brings salted caramel and gentle oak.
