Kanosuke – Double Distillery

Kanosuke Double Distillery is a Japanese blended whisky that joins the distillery's flagship single malt with its Hioki Pot Still whisky, made from malted and unmalted barley at the Hioki distillery. Distillers Yoshitsugu and Norihisa Komasa oversaw the blend, which won best blended whisky in Japan at the World Whisky Awards. The nose combines cantaloupe, lemon zest and fresh apricot with spicy oak and vanilla. The palate is full and creamy, with vanilla, canned peaches and pears, then wood tannin, cinnamon and clove. The finish is long, woody and spicy.
