Kanosuke – Hioki Pot Still 2024 Limited Edition (70cl, 55%)

This is a limited-edition Japanese pot still whisky from Kanosuke, released in 2024 at 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled at the Hioki Distillery from malted barley and local Japanese un-malted barley, in stainless steel pot stills run under vacuum pressure. The whisky was matured in a combination of new American white oak casks, ex-Bourbon barrels and re-charred ex-shochu casks. The nose offers creme brulee, new oak, apricots and fresh plums. On the palate come vanilla, caramel sauce, charred oak, cocoa and matcha. The finish is oily, with intense dark chocolate.
