Kanosuke Sherry Cask Vatted Single Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 48%)

Kanosuke Sherry Cask Vatted is a limited-edition Japanese single malt from the Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima Prefecture, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. The whisky is matured in a combination of sherry casks and the distillery's re-charred ex-shochu casks. The distillery draws on more than a century of distilling heritage from Komasa Jyozo. The nose is usually described as raisins, fig, orange peel, dark toffee and polished oak. On the palate come dried fruits, milk chocolate, cinnamon and roasted nuts, followed by a long, warming finish of sherry sweetness, oak spice and a gentle cocoa bitterness.
