Kanosuke – Sherry Cask Vatted Single Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 48%)

Kanosuke Sherry Cask is a vatted single malt Japanese whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 48% ABV. It is a limited edition that draws generously on whisky aged in two kinds of sherry cask, Oloroso and Cream. The whisky is distilled in three pot stills and matured in a range of casks, including ex-shochu, bourbon and red wine, then vatted together. The nose brings dark cherry, vanilla, Nikki (Japanese cinnamon) and raspberry. The palate has soft raisins, dark chocolate, cloves and fruit pound cake. The long finish shows tropical mangosteen and a subtle, oaky dryness.
