The first peated expression from Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima, this 2023 limited edition was distilled between 2018 and 2019. It matured largely in ex-shochu and ex-sherry casks and is bottled at a natural cask strength of 59% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It won a Double Gold at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The colour is amber. The nose offers banana, peaches and peat with caramel, vanilla and oak. Salted caramel, black tea, blood orange and cocoa lead the palate, and the finish is lingering smoke layered with oranges and honey.
