Kanosuke Single Malt 2026 Limited Edition is a Japanese malt from the Kanosuke Distillery in Hioki, Kagoshima, in a 70cl bottle at 57%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
Two components are at its centre: bourbon cask whisky finished in apple brandy casks, and spirit from re-charred ex-shochu casks finished in white wine. Sherry cask whisky and a small share of peated spirit add to the blend, though the style stays unsmoky.
Orange blossom, hamago blossom, apple skin and white grape lead the nose. The palate offers vanilla, honey, sweet yuzu paste and apple brandy, and the finish is long and fresh with grapefruit and a gentle sea breeze.
