This is the 2026 limited edition single malt from Kanosuke distillery in Kagoshima, bottled at 57% in a 70cl bottle.
It is built from several malts: whisky aged in bourbon barrels and finished in apple brandy casks, spirit matured in re-charred ex-shochu casks and finished in white wine casks, and a share matured in sherry casks. A subtle hint of peated whisky is included, and slow dilution gives it a mellow, rounded depth.
The colour is golden amber. Orange blossom, apple peel and white grape lead the nose, and the palate brings vanilla, yuzu paste, honey and apple brandy. The finish is long, with grapefruit, apple peel and a touch of sea breeze.
