Kanosuke – Single Malt 2026 Limited Edition (70cl, 57%)

This is the 2026 limited edition single malt from the Kanosuke distillery in Kagoshima, Japan, bottled at 57% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was re-established in 2017 on the foundation of an older one. Master blender Yoshitsugu Komasa combined two styles: whisky from bourbon casks finished in rare apple brandy casks, and spirit from re-charred shochu casks finished in white wine casks. It is unfiltered. Tasting notes describe hamago blossom, yuzu and white grapes on the nose, with a light sea note. The palate has honey, vanilla, apples and a little salinity, and the finish is long, with grapefruit and mineral sea air.
