Kanosuke – Single Malt (70cl, 48%)

Kanosuke Single Malt is a Japanese single malt, distilled and matured in Japan at the Kanosuke Distillery and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-shochu casks and American white oak casks. The distillery was long known for its shochu, a typically Japanese spirit, and has made its own whisky since 2017. The nose is fine, with grape, peach, banana, vanilla and rosemary. The palate is creamy, with sweet barley, apple, fruity tea and honey, followed by wood, ginger and fresh herbs. The finish is medium in length, refined and rather dry.
