Kavalan 15 Year Old Four Cask Matured is a Taiwanese single malt from the Kavalan distillery in Yilan, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was released in 2025 as the distillery's first bottling with an age statement.
The whisky marries malts matured in ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry, ruby port and puncheon casks, put together in small batches. 30,000 bottles were released, and the whisky carries no added colouring.
The nose brings caramel apple, chocolate, walnut and cinnamon, with dried mandarin peel and plum. Bergamot and citrus meet cranberry, raisin and longan on the palate, and the finish is warm, with wood and cinnamon spice.
