Kavalan – Concertmaster Port Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish is a Taiwanese single malt whisky, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is first matured in selected American oak casks, then finished in port barriques. Portuguese ruby Port wine casks provide the main flavour. Time in barriques is said to mellow the whisky and add smoothness, and the result is rich bodied, with natural sweetness and complexity. The nose is tropical and fruity, with honey, vanilla, coconut and candy floss. The palate is rich and sweet. It is also described as pairing well with chocolate.
