Kavalan – Manzanilla 5 Year Old Single Malt (57.8%)

This is a single cask Taiwanese single malt from Kavalan's Solist series, aged five years. It was distilled on 23 February 2011, matured in a Manzanilla sherry cask and bottled on 8 June 2016 at a cask strength of 57.8% ABV. The outturn was 520 bottles. The humid, warm climate at Yilan and the Manzanilla cask give it a sherry character with a maritime lean. The whisky is described with salty hints, light fruit, malt, oak spice and sherry sweetness.
