Kavalan – Peaty Cask Single Malt Taiwan Whisky (52.4%)

A single cask Taiwanese single malt from Kavalan, part of the Solist series and bottled at 52.4% ABV. The spirit was distilled on 15 April 2009. It matured in ex-bourbon casks that had previously held peated whisky, among them former Islay casks. That gives the bottling a peaty accent alongside Kavalan's own style. Tasting notes describe tropical fruit with peat smoke, vanilla, malt and oak, and a light medicinal, maritime note.
