Kavalan – Port Cask (40%)

Kavalan Port Cask is a single malt from Taiwan, bottled at 40% ABV. It belongs to the Concertmaster range. The whisky matures first in American oak casks and then receives a finish in Portuguese ruby port barriques. Taiwan's warm, humid climate has a marked effect on how whisky matures in cask at the Kavalan Distillery. It is typically described as showing port cask character, red fruit, berries, vanilla, oak, malt and light spice, with a soft structure.
