Kavalan – Solist Ex-Bourbon Cask

Kavalan Solist Ex-Bourbon Cask is a single cask single malt from the Kavalan Distillery in Yilan, Taiwan. The Solist range takes its name from "soloist", reflecting the founder's love of classical music, and only the best performing casks are chosen for it. This release was matured in ex-bourbon casks. Yilan lies just north of the Tropic of Cancer, and the climate there shapes both spirit and maturation. The nose brings soft coconut, vanilla, sweet oak and honey. On the palate are toasted wood, gentle ginger spice and tropical fruits, followed by a long, fruity finish with sweet cinnamon.
