Kavalan – Solist Vinho Barrique (56.3%)

Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique is a limited-edition single malt without an age statement, made at the Kavalan Distillery in Taiwan, which was established in 2005. The spirit ages in the country's humid sub-tropical climate and is reduced with meltwater from Snow Mountain in Yilan. It was matured in a single cask that previously held Portuguese red wine, and bottled at a natural cask strength of 56.3%. It was named World's Best Single Malt at the 2015 World Whiskies Awards.
