This is a single cask Taiwanese single malt from Kavalan's Solist range, bottled at 57.8% ABV in a one-litre bottle. It was fully matured in used American oak wine barrels that were toasted and recharred, which brings fruity vanilla notes from the wood.
The nose shows vanilla and caramelised sugars with dark chocolate, plus ripe melon and mango. On the palate, kiwi and citrus burst through, with pepper in the background. The finish is clean, with hints of chocolate and ripe fruit.
