Khodays Black Indian Single Malt Whisky (75cl, 42.8%)

Khodays Black is an Indian single malt made entirely from malt in Bengaluru. It is bottled at 42.8% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. Fruit leads, with vanilla, nuts, toasted oak and warming spice, and some peat and smoke sit behind the sweeter fruit and malt. The nose is fruity, with orange peel, vanilla, walnut and apricot, then toasted almond, gentle peat, smoke and a little spice. The palate is rich and smooth, with oak, prunes and chocolate layered with nuttiness and warming cumin, nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is smooth and moderately long, with spice, toasted oak and a subtle smokiness.
