This is the 14th Edition of Kilchoman's 100% Islay release, a single malt made from barley grown on the island. It was distilled from the 2013 and 2014 harvests and matured for at least nine years in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. It was bottled in 2024 at 50% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, with a peating level of 20 ppm.
The nose brings bonfire smoke, pickled lemon, orange peel and tropical sweetness. On the palate come creamy caramelised sugar, vanilla, lemon, pineapple, fresh ginger and oak smoke. The finish is oily and structured, with rich sherry notes and lingering peat smoke.
