This is a Kilchoman single malt from the 2014 vintage, matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 53.8% in a 70cl bottle. Anthony Wills opened Kilchoman in 2005, making it the first new distillery on Islay in 124 years. It stands in the north-west of the island on Rockside Farm, a former agricultural estate, and it is the only Islay distillery not directly beside the sea. Its whisky is the only one allowed to call itself 100% Islay, because every ingredient is produced on site and every stage of the work is carried out there.
