This is a 2015 Kilchoman single malt from Islay with a White Port influence, in a 70cl bottle at 53.5% ABV. Kilchoman was opened in 2005 by Anthony Wills, the first new distillery on Islay in 124 years. It stands on Rockside Farm, a former farming estate in the north-west of the island. Its whisky is the only one allowed to carry the 100% Islay name, since every ingredient and every stage of production is local to the site. It is also the only Islay distillery not directly on the sea.
