The 2023 release of Kilchoman 100% Islay is a single malt from Islay, an original distillery bottling at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The name reflects how Kilchoman works. Anthony Wills opened the distillery in 2005, the first new one on Islay for 124 years, and its whisky is the only one entitled to be called 100% Islay, as all ingredients are produced and all steps carried out on site. It stands on Rockside Farm, a former farming estate in the north-west of the island, and is the only Islay distillery not directly on the coast.
