The first general release from Kilchoman Distillery on Islay, launched in September 2009 as a single malt Scotch whisky. Nine thousand bottles were produced. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon barrels for up to three years, then finished for six months in sherry casks. It is typically described as combining bright citrus, sweet malt and robust peat smoke, with a touch of sherried richness.
