Kilchoman – Loch Gorm 2020 (70cl, 46%)

An Islay single malt from Kilchoman, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle without added colour or chill-filtering. It is a vatting of 21 Oloroso sherry casks from 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011, matured for at least nine years. The release is limited to 15,500 bottles. The nose is soft peat smoke with cinnamon and cloves. On the palate come sultanas and stewed plums, barbecue spice, peat smoke, sea salt and citrus sweetness. The finish carries dried fruit and peat smoke, with lasting spice and sweetness.
