Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2022 is an Islay single malt matured for at least eight years in Oloroso sherry casks. The edition was drawn from 22 casks, 20 of them first-fill and two refill. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose combines macerated lemon, buttery shortbread and Moroccan spices with rich sherry and faint peat smoke. The palate offers cloves, dark chocolate and juicy plums, with roasted almonds, sultanas, nougat and peat smoke. The finish is herbal, earthy and maritime, with liquorice, leather and a dry, sherried close.
