This is a Kilchoman single malt matured in port casks and bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. Kilchoman was opened by Anthony Wills in 2005, the first new distillery on Islay in 124 years. It sits in the north-west of the island on Rockside Farm, a former agricultural estate, and is the only Islay distillery not directly on the coast. The distillery's whisky is the only one entitled to be called 100% Islay, since all the ingredients are produced on site and every step is done there.
