Kilchoman – Sanaig (70cl, 46%)

Kilchoman Sanaig is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46%. It takes its name from a small rock near the distillery, and it is non-chill-filtered and free of added colour. It was matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Kilchoman is a farm distillery on Rockside Farm, founded in 2005, and it grows and malts its own barley. The nose offers soft cooked fruit with caramel and vanilla. On the palate come toffee, peat smoke and citrus with an inviting sweetness. The finish balances peat smoke, fruit and sweetness.
