Knappogue Castle – 12 Year Old Marsala Cask Finish (46%)

Knappogue Castle 12 Year Old is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from the Cask Finish Series, made from malted barley and distilled in copper pot stills. It is a limited release of 690 bottles. The whisky is matured for at least 12 years in bourbon barrels, then finished in Marco De Bartoli Marsala casks. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 92 proof. The nose is a mix of dried fruit, mocha and vanilla. The palate is juicy, savoury and light, leading to fruity notes, and the finish has hints of fruit and dry oak.
