Knob Creek 10 Year Old is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey, distilled by the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky from a rye-forward mashbill. It spends ten years in heavily charred American oak and is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof).
The nose offers deep caramel, toasted rye bread, cinnamon and clove, with vanilla and a little citrus peel. The palate is full-bodied and spicy, with molasses, brown sugar, roasted nuts and orange oil. The finish is long and warming, with peppercorn, caramelised oak and citrus.
