Koshi-No Shinobu Blended Whisky Mizunara Japanese Oak Finish (70cl, 43%)

Koshi-No Shinobu is a Japanese blended whisky made in Niigata and bottled at 43% ABV. It is half malt and half grain whisky, selected from different distilleries by the master blender, Mr. Usami. The whiskies are first held in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Mizunara Japanese oak. Nothing is added for colour. The nose brings softly roasted nuts, jellied pear and honeysuckle. Black pepper and clove arrive early on the palate, followed by ripe citrus fruit and baked apples, and a long, smooth finish.
