Koval Four Grain Whiskey (75cl, 47%)

Koval Four Grain Whiskey is an American whiskey from Koval Distillery in Chicago, distilled from an organic mash of oat, malted barley, rye and wheat. It is a single barrel release in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof). It is aged in heavily charred new oak barrels from Minnesota. Each grain has its part: oat gives a creamy palate, barley a sweet maltiness, rye a spicy kick, and wheat a soft, smooth finish. The nose is floral, with banana, sweet vanilla and subtle baking spices. The palate is creamy and slightly sweet, with honeyed malt, dark chocolate and peppery rye. The finish is smooth, crisp and lightly spicy, with sweet vanilla and toasted oak.
