This is Koval Single Barrel Rye Whiskey, a Bottled in Bond release in a 50cl bottle at 50% ABV. It is distilled from unmalted organic rye and comes from a single barrel. Koval was founded in Chicago in 2008 by Robert and Sonat Birnecker, who left their academic careers to start the distillery. It works with organically grown grain from the region and matures its whiskeys in small oak casks. The Bottled in Bond designation means this rye was made strictly to a fixed set of rules.
