Kujira Ryukyu 10 Year Old White Oak Virgin Cask (70cl)

Kujira Ryukyu is a 10 year old whisky from the Masahiro Distillery in Okinawa, bottled in 70cl and non-chill filtered. It follows the local Awamori tradition, with fermentation using black koji. The whisky is aged in virgin white oak casks in the sub-tropical marine climate of Japan's southernmost islands, which speeds up maturation. The result is described as combining acidic notes with delicate, sweet oak flavours.
