Kujira Ryukyu is a 30-year-old Japanese whisky distilled from 100% Indica rice. It was aged in Okinawa, the southern island with warm, humid weather all year, for more than 30 years in sherry, bourbon and virgin white oak casks.
Tasting notes describe a full body with ripe berries, and woody tannins that bring a sour edge of Chinese herbs. Toasted oak comes through on the nose, and a hint of nectar and long-lasting sweetness stay on the finish.
