Kura 8 Years Old Awamori Rice Whisky (72cl, 40%)

Kura 8 Years Old is an Okinawa awamori sold as a Japanese rice whisky, in a 72cl bottle at 40% ABV. It is made from Indica rice with Okinawa's black koji, distilled slowly, and the undiluted spirit was then laid down in cask. It spent 8 years in selected American white oak, which sets it apart from awamori that is not aged in wood. The aroma is described as complex and the taste as mellow.
