Kurayoshi Pure Malt 18 Years is a Japanese blended malt from the Matsui Shuzo distillery in Tottori prefecture, in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV. It is made entirely from malted barley whisky: Scottish distillates shipped to Japan, married with Japanese whisky and matured for 18 years in American white oak casks. The distillery was founded in 1910 and stands in the shadow of Mount Daisen, whose spring water, filtered through volcanic rock, is part of its story. The nose is malty, with fresh lemon, cereal and dry grass. On the palate come honey and vanilla, smoky and spicy notes and a little mint. The finish is long and dry, with a clear vanilla note.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
