Kurayoshi – The Tottori Blended Japanese Whisky (43%)

This is a blended Japanese whisky from Kurayoshi, made by Matsui Shuzo in Tottori, bottled at 43%. It is a vatting of several Japanese batches matured in bourbon casks for a minimum of three years, and it is not chill-filtered. The nose shows malt and spice, with underlying vanilla and oak. The palate is light and sweet with a spicy edge, bringing oak, vanilla, marshmallow and clove. The finish is long, led by spice and the sweet vanilla of the bourbon casks.
