This is a single cask Highland Park from Orkney, distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2024 at 56.9% after more than 20 years in a sherry butt. It is number 14 in the Artist series from La Maison du Whisky, and 438 bottles were produced in 70cl bottles.
The nose is rich and exotic, with macerated fruit and balsamic vinegar. With air it opens to sea salt, lime blossom, lime, guava, beeswax and curry. The palate is dense and full, with candied pineapple, walnut and mirabelle, a creamy note of flan and a sharp edge of grapefruit and lemon.
