This is a 10 year old Islay single malt from the Lagavulin distillery, in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in refill American white oak casks and first-fill ex-bourbon casks, and is bottled without chill-filtration and without colouring.
The nose is mild and slightly dry, with fine fruit, peat smoke, seaweed and salty sea air. The palate is light, soft and balanced between salt and sweetness, before a warming, intense smoke builds. The finish is medium in length and smoky, with warming spices.
