Lagavulin 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt released as part of Diageo's 2025 Special Releases. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.4% in a 70cl bottle.
Casks were selected to bring out both Lagavulin's smoky character and a brighter, fruit-led side, set against coastal minerality.
The nose combines bonfire smoke, sea salt, charred oak, lemon zest, green apple and vanilla, with a little floral sweetness. The palate is full-bodied, with sweet malt, toasted oak, black pepper, citrus peel, smoked honey, roasted nuts and medicinal peat. The finish is long and warming, with campfire smoke, cracked pepper, oak spice and salted caramel.
