This is a 12 year old Lagavulin single malt from Islay, bottled by White Horse Distillers Ltd between the 1970s and 1980s at 43%. It comes in a 75cl bottle. The nose begins delicately, with burning incense, ash wood smoke, smoked fish, camphor and mint, then moves through Earl Grey tea, cocoa, bitter oranges and grapefruit, with cedar and dried roses later on. The palate is sharp and a little bitter, slightly sweet and herbal, with candied angelica, mint, waxy citrus and old Riesling. The finish is rather long, resinous and smoky, leaving salt on the tongue.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
