Lagavulin 8 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, released to mark the 200th anniversary of the distillery's founding by John Johnston in 1816.
The eight-year-old age statement looks back to the 1880s, when Alfred Barnard visited the distillery and tried an eight-year-old he described as 'exceptionally fine'.
The whisky is described as big and smoky, with a sweet spice that becomes more apparent with a drop of water.
