Laphroaig – 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Finish (70cl, 48%)

This is an Islay single malt from Laphroaig, a 10 year old finished in European sherry oak casks that previously held sweet Oloroso, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. It starts as the regular Laphroaig 10, taking its character from ex-bourbon casks, before resting in the Oloroso sherry casks, each one hand picked. The sherry sweetness adds further complexity to the distillery's peat smoke and seaweed, with notes of Manuka honey and grilled bacon.
