Laphroaig – 11 Year Old 2014 Refill Hogshead The Single Malts of Scotland Itinéraires (70cl, 57.5%)

This is a single malt from Laphroaig on Islay, distilled on 1 April 2014 and bottled on 2 June 2025 at 11 years old. It was matured in a refill hogshead and bottled at 57.5% ABV, with 359 bottles filled for The Single Malts of Scotland Itinéraires series. Laphroaig malts part of its own barley, about 15%, and dries it over peat for 12 to 15 hours, followed by 10 hours in warm air. The whiskies are peated to between 50 and 60 ppm. The flavour is described as growing steadily in power, with earthier tones and generous citrus and tropical fruit, ending in rich, oily peat.
