Laphroaig – 11 Year Old 2014 Refill Hogshead The Single Malts of Scotland Itinéraires Islay (70cl, 57.5%)

This is an Islay single malt from Laphroaig, distilled on 1 April 2014 and matured for 11 years in a refill hogshead. It was bottled on 2 June 2025 at 57.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, as one of 359 bottles. Laphroaig malts part of its own barley, 15% of the total, drying it in a peat kiln to reach 50 to 60 ppm. The flavour is described as growing steadily more powerful, with citrus and tropical fruit developing alongside earthy tones, and ending in rich, oily peat.
