Laphroaig 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt that matured for 12 years in bourbon casks. It was first bottled for travel retail. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose is smoky and salty, with baked apple, heather honey and soft vanilla. The palate is full, with maritime salt, strong peat smoke, honey, light caramel and American oak. The finish is long, smoky and dry, with a little sweetness running through iodine and seaweed notes.
