Laphroaig – 14 Year Old Willem Dafoe Limited Edition

This is a limited edition Laphroaig 14 Year Old, an Islay single malt finished in Oloroso sherry casks. The sherry adds soft sweetness and depth to the distillery's peat-driven character. It was selected by actor and Friend of Laphroaig Willem Dafoe together with Senior Whisky Blender Sarah Dowling, who chose it on instinct rather than through formal tasting notes. Tasting notes describe peat smoke with a coastal edge and the richness of Oloroso on the nose, sea salt, warming spice and soft sweetness on the palate, and a long, smoky, mouthwatering finish.
