Laphroaig 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt from Scotland, bottled at 46%. It was matured for fifteen years in ex-bourbon barrels of American oak. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose opens with ripe orange and grapefruit, with creamy vanilla and dry hay, before peat smoke and clove come through. On the palate, sea salt and peat meet cinnamon, clove and coriander, with juicy peach adding sweetness and grapefruit adding freshness. The finish is long and distinctly smoky, with vanilla, salt and warm spices alongside the peat.
